Murals and Illustrations for Awkward Spaces

It’s come to my attention that I’ve started to be commissioned as an artist and mural artist for particularly awkward spaces and I’m really not unhappy about it!!

There’s something about an awkward space that makes me feel more free to create and design than a blank wall? It gives me something to start with, try to fit a character design into, try to work around. I don’t know what is but my illustrations work really well in these situations too.

Maybe it’s because I started as an illustrator working on spreads for editorials, creating spot illustrations and working around text?!

Here’s some examples of Illustrations and Murals in Awkward Spaces

  1. Neutrogena hand cream - their branding couldn’t change but my illustrations worked really well in the white space around it

  2. The Eel Pie Pub with their awkward space and my illustrated murals making the walls sing!

  3. Southampton Car Park corner awkwardness. They even mentioned that my work would work well in the awkward space and they’re right!!

Call me the awkward girl… (true on more than one level)

Got an awkward wall that needs a mural? Or some packaging that needs brightening up around your branding? I can do it!!
